You should have reported them the usual way as it's mentioned in the
release announcements. Most of those problems are already addressed
in the upcoming release (this conversations steals me the time to
finish it ;).
Personally, what I would like to see in the desktop release is not
gobby but libobby with plugins for abiword, gnumeric, gedit, etc.
Well, the foundation is there, although written in C++. Everything
which needs shared buffers could possibly use it. We just need
serious C wrappers... |:
Chris, you might also want to speak to the Inkscape people about
Inkboard, which has similar goals but uses Jabber to talk back and
forth.
There was also a collaborative editor project for Summer of Code in
Gaim. It just didn't get very far (and didn't use obby anyway). It
might work with Jabber, but with IMs like ICQ you'll get into trouble
with rate limiting (like the guys who wrote a JEdit plugin for use
over IRC)...
