I would like to propose Nautilus-actions for inclusion in the next

I'd love to see this idea in GNOME, but I think it should be implemented
slightly differently.
I think the core of the actions code should be merged into Nautilus, and
then the Manage Actions... menu entry removed and the dialog it shows
moved into the File Management preferences dialog (which seems more
logical to me, as Manage Actions has nothing to do with the currently
selected file). This way when a user hasn't created any actions there
is nothing added to the context menus, adding a more streamlined feel to
the system.
I would maybe like to have nautilus-actions integrated into Nautilus,
but I'm not sure that then, I will be able to maintain it as efficiently
as I do it now.
BTW, I agree that the contextual menu is not the best place for "Manage
Actions". Maybe, if I want to keep the "extensions" status, I could add
it in the "Places" like the CD/DVD burner and call it "Actions Manager"
(not sure how it works exactly) or make it only appears in the "Edit"
menu of the window if possible... what do you think ?
