I'll throw in a positive comment for latex-beamer. If you're already comfortable with LaTeX, beamer makes it very easy to put together very nice/modern looking slides, with step-by-step reveals, even outputting to a nice PDF that can be used for presenting on most any OS. http://latex-beamer.sourceforge.net/ -- Michael R.
