While this argument is somewhat counter to my "side" most of the
JavaScript extensions are actually quite nice, and will be implemented in 
WebKit.

I'd much rather see a *less* extended JS engine in GNOME than adopt
the mess of engine-specific JS features that exists in the browser
world.

But I guess I'm just a day-dreamer ;)
