We're currently working on implementing the Privacy panel in the System
Settings, and what we'd actually need is not one big contribution, but
loads of small ones to various applications to make sure they follow the
privacy settings rather than doing their own thing.

Having said that, there's a number of things that could be worked on
lower down the levels which we'd need to achieve things like meaningful
segregation and containerisation of applications and D-Bus services (to
stop notifications being visible to all the session applications, or
location data leaking into other applications through D-Bus signals).

As long as it's clear what the target systems are (eg. Linux, D-Bus and
systemd in this case), I think it would have a good chance of being
successful.
