Proper formatting from users is what issue templates are for. You can take a look at the blog post I did where we take into account crashes, and definitely worth saying "select the backtrace and click the button 'code'" or similar (which is not in my current proposal, but I
ll add it).

I know it's a markdown, I'm just trying to learn it right now :)

I did notice the "Insert code" button above the comment entry, which I
though is what I've been looking for, but it added only `` and trying
to write anything in between those didn't result in anything feasible.

Yours triple-` works too and it looks differently than the <pre></pre>
(I added it to the above issue). It still means to either teach the
users something (times it, I do not know, say by thousands) or edit
their comments (which I disagree with), but it's just the price for
other benefits GitLab instance can/will bring, thus no big deal as
such.

Definitely once I get use to it it'll be just a piece of cake.
