Greetings,
I am wondering if there is a way in Dia to scale multiple selections?
At the moment, if I marquee-select a group of objects, dragging a corner
of an object only resizes that one object.
If I first "group" the objects, then try to drag the black corners
defining the group, nothing happens.
No, there's no way to resize a group, because some objects can't be scaled
manually (UML Class, for instance). Personally, I think that should be
changed -- non-scaling objects should 1) be ignored when scaling a group,
and 2) be fixed to allow scaling. It's silly that the LargePackage object,
for example, is always 4 centimeter tall.
On this topic, does anyone know if there is plans to implement a
user-defined scale, so that the rulers on the top and left sides can
display, say, a scale of 1:50? This would be very handy for any
plan-related work.
You can set the scale in File/Page Setup on the right-button menu. You
can't change the units on the rulers yet, though.
