[Ekiga-list] Sloow sound

Hi all.
I am using GnomeMeeting 1.0.2 debian sarge R2 with stock kernel and 
alsa drivers on a via cle266 mobo. The sound ship is via 8235. all 
Called parties hears deep base voice from my machine ( incorrect 
sampling rate?). I can hear him clearly. However recording with krec 
produces a normal file which plays back properly. This is on a lan.
Any hints. Searching google did not yield anything useful.
