Hello,
have you tried the video4linux v2 driver?
Does the cam run with other image-grabbing applications installed on 
your system?

What is said about your account in Properties->Accounts?
I got this message too after I had run the Configuration-Druid. The 
account was set inactive under Properties->Accounts
