Greetings!
We from Brazilian team are working on getting our community more
active, and one of the activities is to post more often on social
networks, to reach more Brazilians.
One idea that came up was to translate blog posts from members of the
GNOME community (e.g. planet.gnome.org) to ease the understanding of
the original content by Brazilians who can't read English.
Obviously, credits for the original author and a URL for the source
article would be prominently visible to state that we just translated.
We just need to figure out how would be the proper way to get the
agreement/permission of the original author for this translation and
where to publish it.
Having that said, a few questions:
1- Does any one see any obstacle in this type of work?
2- What is the proper way to get the agreement of the original author?
Any suggestion of a base text?
3- Where to host it? One idea that came up was to use GNOME GitLab
Pages, which I don't know whether it is allowed or not.
Best regards,
Rafael Fontenelle
