Watching this thread, I find myself strongly agreeing with both sides -
Dave is right that autoscroll is more consistant with the middle mouse
button's scroll feature, and with the fact that it's the default in IE.
However, much as I know he's right, I HATE THAT. ;-) No middle click to
do a unix paste would be enough to make me consider switching back to
galeon, and I *really* don't want to do that.
Is it possible we've stumbled onto something that maybe warrants a
hidden preference? I know they suck, but they do have their place, and
I think that having a hidden preference for this might *suck less* than
just hardcoding autoscroll (or middle-click-paste for that matter).
