Flashing statusbar icons just aren't large enough to get peoples
attention: we (Galeon) have a similar request for flashing security icon
when you go to an SSL site and away from them:

And even when I had a patched galeon to do just that, I still didn't
spot the security icon changing, even knowing it would be flashing :-/
