I think these about.config prefs are "ignored" because Mozilla is not
handling the tabs UI here, GTK is.
and I'd like typeaheadfind without having to hit CTRL-F first, so I
changed accessibility.typeaheadfind to true
Typeaheadfind is very tricky. It depends on whether you are using a
Seamonkey or Firefox backend, and on whether or not certain patches are
installed, on how this behaves. It doesn't surprise me that this pref
doesn't do what it theoretically should do.
Any ideas how to change those settings? I looked into gconf but could
not find anything related
I don't think there is a setting for this currently.
But when http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=310814 gets resolved,
you will be able to click a link with a modifier key and have it open
in a new window.
