Hi,
I am pretty new to linux and I am trying to install epiphany on centOS, but
haven't been able to find package/repository for it. So, I decided to build
it from the source code and got the following error message after running
./configure:
No package 'glib-2.0' found
No package 'gmodule-2.0' found
No package 'gio-unix-2.0' found
Package gobject-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gobject-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
Package 'gobject-2.0', required by 'GdkPixbuf', not found
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables DEPENDENCIES_CFLAGS
and DEPENDENCIES_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.
first of all, it seems that there is no PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
defined anywhere. So, i wonder if this is platform specific and that I have
to map this PKG_CONFIG_PATH to the corresponding variable in centOS. any
help is much appreciated.
