yeah, this is strongly a case of user's choice, so [USER] deserves an interaction opportunity here..

Honestly we could take the chance to nuke the bookmark system once and

for all. We are looking to replace it for years but haven't yet. I bet
you can get immediate approval if you add that to your patch! :P

an improval would perhaps be a better ui to the bookmarks, since menus as we know them are getting out of fashion.

How about making it in a way consistent with the looks of this project:

this way, bookmarks would become a live interactive utility, that doesn't need to be hidden in some hierarchical menu structure..
