disable search panel hiding

hi all, please is there a way how to disable hiding search panel after 
clicking in the page

example:
on site i just pres ctrl+f and this opens search panel. i put my query 
and click/copy on it. but panel hides, so i have to pres ctrl+f again to 
use find next/previous
