Hello everyone, Firstly I want to thank again to Germán Póo-Caamaño for his prompt reply to my request for support on the gnome-love mailing list. As I previously said, I took into consideration his advice to decide upon one project I use most to start contributing on. So, after a couple of hours of thoughts and research, I decided that Evince is probably the program I use most from gnome since I often read books in pdf format and also I think ( I may be wrong ) that it doesn't require much other knowledge excepting C/C++ and GTK ( I'm well-versed in C/C++ and started learning GTK about 2 months ago ) so it would come more naturally to me to work on it. So now I would like, if possible, to get some further support in order to make my first steps in contributing to Evince: for example to be assigned a accessible bug for a newcomer.
Hi Cruceru Calin, Assuming you have already built the development version of Evince, I would suggest you to start with: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=626153 It has already a patch, but it needs to be rebased to the current master, apply the fixes according to the review, and resubmit it.
