I think this is orthogonal to the design of the main, standard calendar
view...  We can just stick an ETable (actually, a GtkTreeView :)) in
there instead of the calendar view.

Yeah I think I agree with you.  The category filtering should just be
done from the search bar.  (Entourage uses a similar approach -- of
course this doesn't necessarily mean it's good ;-) but I have used it
and it makes sense to me.)

Maybe we should have a list of steps that we need to do before we can
implement the mockup?  This way we can have a better idea of what the
effort looks like.
