Red Hat 6.2 comes with a buggy GDB that gets very confused about
threads if I recall correctly.
But anyway, the way we usually do it is by running evolution-mail in a
separate GDB before starting the shell. If you run a component by
itself, it will register on OAF and wait for other components to invoke
it.
The Mozilla people wrote a handy document for debugging Mozilla. This
kind of thing would be INCREDIBLY useful for Evolution users who can code.
It will also be well worth the time spent writing it.
I agree. We should start writing something like this at some point...
