Hello Thomas,
To expand on fejj's (Jeffrey Stedfast) reply, The strikethrough is what
it is suppose to do, but after you do that you must "expunge" the
folder. Do this through the Folder drop down menu after you delete the
messages you want to delete in that folder view.
