I'm running debian unstable (sid), and using evolution through the apt
sources.
A few days ago, a dist-upgrade (at least, i have nothing else to blame but
the dist-upgrade) caused Evolution to be unable to create a composition
window. Now, after another dist-upgrade, Evolution won't even start, and
gives the following error:
evolution: Symbol `oaf_popt_options' has different size in shared
object, consider re-linking
Multiple segmentation faults occurred; can't display error dialog
Fair enough, I say... libraries have been updated and are apparently
incompatible... let's build from source, so I downloaded the tarball from
the Ximian site.
./configure goes through without a hitch after installing all the proper
-dev packages.
when i try to make Evolution, however, I get the following error:
In file included from e-summary-factory.h:28,
from component-factory.c:39:
e-summary.h:58: parse error before `BonoboPropertyListener'
e-summary.h:58: warning: no semicolon at end of struct or union
e-summary.h:67: parse error before `}'
make[3]: *** [component-factory.o] Error 1

make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory
`/home/jbarnett/evolution-0.8/executive-summary'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 2
I examined the ./executive-summary/component/e-summary.h file, and all
semicolons seem to be there. Syntactically, the code appears fine. I'm
not sure how to fix this... does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks much,
Joe
