yeah, the 1.0.x code is a bit flakey, and not guaranteed to work.

Sorry, I misread that last message - I was seeing things.
it was application/pgp-signature not application/pgp...
anyways, you didn't give me anywhere close to enough info to tell what
the problem is, but since it looks like it is pgp/mime then my guess is
that you are seeing a bug in Evolution's pgp signature checking.
Already fixed in CVS as of months ago.

application/pgp is an invalid MIME-type specification, it was rejected
in favour of PGP/MIME (rfc2015 and later obsoleted by rfc3156).

Hi list,
sorry if this has been asked before.
A friend of mine is using Apples' Mail.app and MacGPG to digitally sign
and encrypt massages.
His key is successfuly installed in my gpg-system (v 1.0.7) and his keys
are signed by me.
Encryption and decryption works like charm, but his signed messages fail
to verify.
While searching for the error i noticed, that there are differences how
evolution and mail.app "attach" the signature to the mail.
My evolution signatures look like this:
--=-rahjJdqcvs/zOC1gduTv
Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc
Content-Description: Dies ist ein digital signierter Nachrichtenteil
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-----
Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux)
iD8DBQA9ZRhjcLerOga182gRAumJAKC+TVLAf6/j/c8I6R4kEs1ldNfDEACfU9hh
NjjVMCnTNFAwlNBHg9qbOtI=
=1Wcg
-----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
--=-rahjJdqcvs/zOC1gduTv--
while his signature looks like this:
--Apple-Mail-2-161134187
content-type: application/pgp-signature; x-mac-type=70674453;
name=PGP.sig
content-disposition: inline
content-transfer-encoding: 7bit
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-----
Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (Darwin)
iD8DBQE9ZKyGMMxCGRA1d8MRAnqyAKCIaoDfYExAi+Z2V6D7UjxNBCk5hwCfe1QY
pNVi7axnYp6WSpL0pbfjXqg=
=F0Ih
-----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
--Apple-Mail-2-161134187--
Could this cause those errors or is somthing else wrong?
clueless,
//Tom
