Hi ppl!
I use Evolution 1.0.2 with Linux RH 7.2.
So, I keep my emails on server and read it via POP3. I set checkbox in
Evolution config 'keep messages on server' on. After deletion and empty
the trash I expect the messages deleted from server too. But I found ALL
deleted messages kept there.
Please explain me where to say to delete messages from server
(with POP3) only after I delete it locally? I found option to delete it
on receive or kept on server forever. Its not usable... :-|
Be rule to synchronize local and remote folders by cached UIDLes. I
found the Evolution didnt mark cached UIDLes as deleted simply removes
it. I hope the good idea is to open POP accounts and delete messages
from server so remove mesages from trash only after success deletion
from remote folder. Mmm? Like M$ Outlook {Express}, The Bat! and other
windoze mailers...
May be I do something wrong but my pop3-folder is kept too large...
Of course you will tell me about IMAP but not all of ISPs supports
IMAP... :-(
PS. Why ~/evolution folder such named? Why not a ~/.evolution ? Its a
bug or feature?
PS. Why ~/evolution/local/pop3/cache* files have 700 attributes? I guess
its not need to execute, right?
Yours,
SKiller
