Yes, gtnef is supposed to integrate with Evolution so that you can make
tnef attachments be automatically decoded and displayed inline. But it
was never ported to GNOME 2.
You can still use the plain "tnef" program to decode tnef attachments
after saving them to disk. And/or you can either update gtnef or
convince someone else to. :)

Thanks much for your reply and for the clarification on the two
programs.
Just to be sure, if I understand what you have above, the version of
gtnef from CVS will NOT work with Evo 1.4 under GNOME 2.x (I am using RH
9)?
I am not certain at this point that I have the technical skills for an
update to G2, unless it is relatively straightforward. Murphy's Law
would suggest not.... :-)
