Patrick - I removed the DB's (001 - 003) and they were recreated as stated. However, the owner and group is root whereas all other files in the directory are owned by rpm. Could this be why I am getting the same error (Transaction failed: Unable to complete RPM transaction: unable to open RPM database: fcntl failed)? If this happens, I've found that the following works for me (as superuser): rm /var/lib/rpm/__db.00? (the files will be recreated next time rpm runs). YMMV of course ... poc On Mon, 2003-09-29 at 11:32, Jeffrey Stedfast wrote: --
