if you write about the selected folder you were in when exiting:
afaik this is not possible in 1.4.x.
perhaps an option would be to start with a special folder opened, e.g.
evolution evolution:/local/Calendar
evolution evolution:/local/Inbox/SubfolderName
if you write about size and position of the main window:
this could be possible in evo 1.5.x (be aware, 1.5 is a development
version for testing purposes!).
