[Evolution] rcd daemon crashing under SuSE 9.2

I have two mostly identical systems, SuSE 9.2. RCD crashes at startup 
on one system, not on the other. Can't figure out why. 
/var/log/rcd/rcd-messages says

followed by a lot of output which I can send separately, most of which 
just says "no symbol table available".

Can somebody help?

> rpm -qa | grep tls

These are identical between the two systems.
