Yes the tasks list shows 0 tasks. I had not looked at that.  If no one else has seen this I will try bugzilla.

Interesting....
This was working for me, but the task list has recently disappeared -
the shift from 2.0.0 to 2.0.1 would be the right sort of timescale.  The
tasks are in ~/.evolution/tasks/local/system/tasks.ics but they don't
display, and "0 Tasks" is shown in the summary at the top left of the
tasks folder display.

I do have the appropriate (On This Computer/Personal) task list ticked
in the folder display

Better go and look in bugzilla.
