I have the same problem. I managed to locate the problem, but haven't
done anything about it yet...
The problem is in the gconf settings, and the signature path is still
set to /home/user/evolution instead of /home/user/.evolution.
Howerver the setting is in some xml-file and isn't editable via gconf-
editor.
But as I said, after I located the problem I didn't have the time or
energy to look further in to it. I'm not on my Linux-box today so I
can't provide the exact keys in gconf, but I found it by googling for
it... ;)
This should be the GConf key you are referring to:
/apps/evolution/mail/signatures
If you really need to adjust the filename tag only and the signatures
actually are moved correctly, it should be easy to manually edit the
corresponding GConf XML file:
~/.gconf/apps/evolution/mail/%gconf.xml
