Patrick,

Are you by any chance using the eschange connector and the back end is
an exhange 2003 server? If so, please look at this bug pointed out to me
on the connector mailing list:

I am also using gentoo, I applied the patch and have been working since
then.  FYI, the patch needs to be applied to the evolotion data server.
