What does evolution do when it receives mail with a read receipt
request? I think these are a horrible invasion of privacy and want to
make sure a reply is never sent.
AFAIK it does nothing.
The issue with it doing *nothing* has been fixed. Now it sends a receipt
i am sure
I sincerely hope that it doesn't - it should only send a read receipt IF
and ONLY IF I say that it should. If, by default, Evo does send a
receipt, then I, and I suspect many others, would abandon it instantly.
Ok. So there is an option in the Edit->Preferences (edit an account) and
the defaults tab has the "Message Receipts Section". By default it is
"Never". Which can be changed. This is an account specific setting.
