[Evolution] Importing multiple pine folders from local disk

I have been using pine for many years and have been saving messages into
folders in ~/Mail. I want to be able to view these folders and save messages
into them from evolution. When I try to set up a new mail account using
these as  mbox/directories, the dialog box keeps asking me to open the
folder and I can't seem to stop at the ~/Mail directory. The dialog keeps
opening directories until I end up at some single pine folder down in the
tree. There are Open and Cancel buttons, but never any "Yes, this is the
directory containing my folders" button.

I am using Fedora Core 6 with Evolution 2.8.3.
