In my case evince is to blame. It doesn't start: missing libpoppler-glib.so.2! I couldn't emerge that libpoppler-glib.so.2 so I tried to point the 'document viewer' to an other application like kpdf or so. In vain!! Double click in Konqueror works because Konqueror uses kpdf, xpdf document viewer in this order. Why Evolution insist on using evince - I don't know. Maybe someone here knows and can give a hint?
On my gnome system, Nautilus opens acroread. I think the problem with evo is that the attachments are of the mimetype application/acrobat instead of application/pdf (the latter being associated with acroread, and the former with nothing). I am going to guess that I can fix my problem if I can figure out how to associate a mimetype with a program in gnome. -- Art Alexion Resources for Human Development, Inc. 215-951-0300 x3075 4700 Wissahickon Ave. art rhd org Philadelphia, PA 19144 www.rhd.org
