[Evolution] Opening folder 'sometimes' goes to first unread message sometimes not

A bit more specific, Evolution 2.24.2 on Mandriva 2009 using IMAP
folders. I have all folders set to "show all messages". When opening a
folder that has new mail or one that doesn't more often than not the
first message in the folder is highlighted not the first unread one.
Sometimes it's the first unread one though. Any reason for that?
