Ok,

I seem to have found a solution.

When I connect with x2go or vnc, I need to run this:

unset DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS

evolution &

Even though I had unset run in the command that executes mate for x2go, that's not enough.

I have to actually run it in the same terminal or instance that evolution runs in.

the second session to talk to the existing keyring, so it would work in

both cases.

Additionally, it is interesting that the keyring is locked when you log

in locally, as it normally syncs with your user password and logging in

automatically unlocks the login based on your account password.
