Firstly I think that the fact that you, me, and David managed to make
use of F-Spot without reading the docs says that the application is
discoverable. Because I agree that telling newbies to RTFM is not a
solution.
But that was not what I was saying. I think there are times when
reading the documentation (or in short RTFM) is the best (if not only)
way to advance your knowledge of a application.
If your happy with the way you use a tool then don't bother, but the
documentation was written for a reason and reading it should be second
nature if you use the application a lot.
