Can you detail what this connection between GNOME and GNU is?
During Guadec, Bradley Kuhn asked to talk to the Gnome board,
representing the FSF, and he said that he wanted to close the gap
between GNOME and GNU, because they had grown apart.
We agreed to meet with him, and after a lot of introduction, Havoc or
Daniel cut to the chase, and said `We are interested in closing the gap,
please bring those topics up, but if the gap is about GNU/Linux vs
Linux, we are just not interested'.
Bradley admitted then that this was the sole point where GNU and GNOME
had grown apart.
So I would be interested in knowing what you have in mind as a way to
improve the connection, *other* than the `GNU/Linux' vs `Linux' debate,
which myself and most others in the current board are tired of.
Miguel.
