Yes, it seems "more correct" (though, I believe they do it on a case- 
by-case basis, so there's no rule that they do either anonymous or  
public voting), but I would insist on all analogies being bad.

Shareholders are usually not that intertwined between themselves as  
Gnome Foundation members are. And more than usually, they don't  
actually work together on practical things, like tracking a bug, or  
writing some code.
