ANNOUNCEMENT: GNOME Foundation Director of Business Development

Hi,

The GNOME Foundation is hiring someone to develop our fundraising
activities, and to cultivate partnerships with companies and local
governments to allow the foundation to develop, and use money to solve
some of the problems which the project has.

GNOME Foundation Director of Business Development

The role we are looking to fill is a business development/fundraising
role. We are looking for someone who will increase our profile to
companies in the space we are in (including ISDs, embedded and mobile
companies, GNOME distributors and other third parties who
are big GNOME users like the government sector). The successful
candidate will also be responsible for proposing and managing the
foundation budget, and overseeing foundation-funded programmes.

The ideal candidate will have experience interacting with bigger
companies, cutting through the red tape to get our message to the people
who are most interested in it, and who can increase the budget of the
foundation significantly over the next couple of years. The position
will include some international travel.
