Yes, they don't always work out.  A lot of it is because they want to
have a clear identity that is separate from GNOME.  However, we've had
some limited success.  But a more focused approach would yield better
results.  But it will take some patience and some time to really get
any results.  Every one of these projects have their own goals and
aspirations that must be respected when approached.
