Here are my working notes:

3 Working modes:

  map:  list of waypoints, map.  See below.
  plan: detailed list of waypoints; basicly a spreadsheet version of
    the static output of fplan
  form: standard FAA flight plan form.


Menus:
  File:
    New flightplan
    Open existing flightplan file
    Save flightplan
    Save As
    Revert

    Load airplane info
    Save airplane info
    Save airplane info as

    Load pilot info
    Save pilot info

  Edit:
    Undo

map mode:

  left: clist of waypoints.  Each line in the list contains:
    waypoint name
    ident
    course to next waypoint
    distance to next waypoint

  right: map.

  Left mouse adds a waypoint.
  Middle mouse pans the map.
  Right mouse brings up edit menu:
    Delete waypoint
    Get weather report (wishlist item)

  Status bar shows waypoint nearest to mouse.
