No idea, haven't seen it in Xrender, perhaps look through Xrender a
bit and
see how the shell is stuffing up.
In the Makefile in folder
/usr/download/hacking-0.19.1/misc/Xrender/work/fcpackage.2_1/Xrender
the depend line says 'gccmakedep' when replacing this with 'gcc -M'
the problem was solved.
I'll let you know if more pops up or when the compile has finished.
