gnome-fifth-toe build issues?

So, while trying to put together the ultimate gnome desktop, I've been
continually running into dependancy issues with the gnome-fifth-toe
packages. Are there plans to add the deps to the build process (i.e, I
should figure it out myself), or should they be treated as core
dependancies?

Two other quick things - is there any way to have garnome dump all the
tar files into one dir, so it's easier to create a local cache as I
build this on other machines? Or otherwise come up with a list of all
the packages I need to download?

Finally, I'm on RH 9 - when trying to build stuff from src.rpms, like
the misc/redhat-artwork package, the package downloads fine, passes the
crc check, but I get a "Error: header not recognized", "cpio: premature
end of archive" while building. I presume this is some sort of
incompatibility, any fixes for this?
