No, they mean almost nothing got built.

The download site for xft, xrender and render have changed. It is now
http://pdx.freedesktop.org/~xlibs/release/ instead of
http://pdx.freedesktop.org/~fontconfig/release/

Edit the Makefiles for those three packages and try again.
