I have "libX11.a", "libX11.so", "libX11.so.6", and "libX11.so.6.2" in the
/usr/X11R6/lib directory.
I did the strings command, and I got "XOpenDisplay" as the result.
So is it a problem with my LD_LIBRARY_PATH?

Check to make sure that /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.* are there. If so, then
do a ` strings /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so | grep XOpenDisplay`. If
XOpenDisplay is listed, then it's a problem with your LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
If it's not, then you need to reinstall X11.
