Known issue -- actually a packaging issue. This is fixed in stable
'Timmy' arch repository for a couple of weeks now.
I do recommend getting the latest Stable version using tla. See Bob's
fine Howto and adjust the branch names to 'timmy':

If you don't want this and can wait a few days, Paul plans to release a
new stable 2.6.2.1 tarball RSN.
As a quick workaround, cannibalizing the other packages and copying the
mkinstalldirs script from another package should work just fine.
Another note: I heard building hacker-tools/gnome-common before should
do as well, but I never tried it.
