Hi Shaun,

I've solved the issue by installing gnome-vfs-2.7.5 There is a newer version so I would recommend to install that version. The steps are equal for both versions.
Upgrade gnome-vfs in the platfom directory by executing these steps to version 2.7.90

1 enter the gnome-vfs folder and change the Makefile to say VERSION = 2.7.90
2 execute the command make
3 execute the command md5sum download/gnome-vfs-2.7.90.tar.bz2 
3.1 copy the text produced by md5sum into the checksum file and remove the 2.7.4 line
4 go back to the root platform folder and make paranoid-install
5 go back to compiling gnome-control center
