This issue seems to be resolved. Yay. :)
If I remember the discussion on IRC correctly this issue is related to
NPTL, LD_ASSUME_KERNEL and AMD processors.
The quick solution for AMD 32bit processors:
* Remove the line LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 from the session file. Log out
and kill all e-d-s and b-a-s processes from a console. Log in again.
Start Evolution and have lots of fun... :)
* Alternatively, just make sure b-a-s and e-d-s are not called with
LD_ASSUME_KERNEL set.
AMD 64bit processors might need a patch. That patch works for AMD 32bit
processors with LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 still set.
