I realize SuSE has a diferent idea of where many packages should be kept than debian, redhat etc. It seems to be biting me in my efforts to build garnome2.8. I built freetype and fontpkg from the bootstrap directory as instructed. After that I ran into a missing dependency that I was able to overcom by creating a link (can't remember what that dependency was). Unfortunately I now run into errors related to pango when I try to make any of the packages (cd /desktop ->make install or make paranoid- install, etc) Has anyone on the list built garnome on SuSE9.0? Any pointers how to get past this block? Thanks for reading -- dh Don't shop at ZipZoomFly.com!
