Out of interest, if you build the libtool and auto-foo packages in
bootstrap/, then do a 'make clean && make install' in platform/glib then
in desktop/control-center, does it do anything differently?

(i've had three reports of GARNOME 2.9.4 failing on Ubuntu Warty boxes,
but it works locally)
